How to tie a Bow Tie

Step 1:

Hang one side longer than the other. The Shorter end will be the front of the bow tie.

Step 2:

Cross the longer end over the shorter end

Step 3:

Bring the Long end through the neck hole.

Step 4:

fold the shorter end at it’s widest point.

Step 5:

Bring the long end back down over the front of your bow tie

Step 6:

Pinching the long end at it’s widest point begin to Loop the long end around the front of your bow tie.

Step 7:

While Pinching the widest point of the Long end pull through the loop you just created.

Step 8:

You can tighten your bow tie by pulling opposite flaps. ex. Back/Right with Front/Left. You can also pull of the neck piece to tighten the bow.

Extra Tips:

Keep everything tight. This is a tough knot it took me a few tries to get this right, so don’t be discouraged if you don’t nail it right away.
